FSM: Swiss Research Foundation for Electricity and Mobile Communication

The Swiss Research Foundation for Electricity and Mobile Communication (FSM) is a non-profit foundation with the purpose of promoting scientific research on the opportunities and risks of technologies that generate or use electromagnetic fields (EMF). This includes all radio and power technologies. Further objectives of the FSM are the publication of research results in scientific organs and the communication of research facts and expertise on the subject of EMF in society.

Our Offer

Our offer includes communication and research services. Communication services include providing information, imparting scientific knowledge, organizing events and preparing information material. Research services include research consulting and support, as well as the coordination and implementation of research projects.

Our Project Portfolio

The FSM has been supporting research for 23 years. In total, we have to date invested more than CHF 6.4 million in research funding, thus making an important contribution to the acquisition of knowledge as well as to the promotion of young academics. So far, 53 studies dealing with basic research, social science issues or technical aspects of radio and power technology in connection with EMF (electromagnetic fields) have been supported.

 

Call for Proposal

 In 2023, FSM will award a total amount of CHF 100,000 for research projects related to questions of acceptance of infrastructures in the field of electricity and mobile communications.
